Starbuck Connection

The world has gone mad. I came across this post by a woman named Deborah Schussel which talks about the Starbucks bombing possibly be done by a Muslim activist group near SF since Starbucks owners are Jewish. She had exposed Caribou's owners as being "extreme" Muslims and that possible friction could be another issue. Conspiracy theories should never really be completely disregarded but a freedom fighter war through the coffee cup? It seems a little extreme minded to be considered for the blogger of the year award. But it is now more understandable her viewpoint as I see she was on the O'Reilly Factor, an extreme right brash opinion commentator on the news.

Starbucks Bombing

Now I don't know why anyone would ever bomb a multinational which puts local coffee companies out of business, but it sure gave me a surprise headline while my eyes glanced over at the TV at the gym today. In San Francisco of all places, what a shocker!

SAN FRANCISCO, California (CNN) -- An explosive device was found in a Starbucks coffee shop in central San Francisco on Monday. The building was evacuated and a police bomb squad disarmed the device, authorities said.

Just kidding. As SF is quite liberal I am surprised this sort of shenanigan wasn't tried earlier. I really wonder if it was a Starbucks thing or just a crazy person stunt. Reverand Billy has shut down some Starbucks before from licking the entire store with his choir. Yes, I did say lick. Just look at the link as it is far too difficult to sum up this character.

When doing a quick search of blogs mentioning this event, why does it seem like only NRA wielding terrorist-fearing people who think we need to supersize the patriot act and have a national state of emergency banishing all human rights who have mentioned it? Where are the voices of reason? It's like pain or a cough; a bomb threat is a symptom of a problem that exists. A cough suppressant or painkillers suppress the problem but often will end up backfiring on you. Especially when the pain is a symptom of something much larger than a headache.

As I was searching checking my email yesterday I can across this link about schools in Atlanta, Georgia offering vegetarian meals in high schools with many kids eating the food because it is more nutritious and a better option than "greasy pizza".
